VM Operator in KubernetesĪs I said at the beginning there are two components of VM Service and the second of which is in Kubernetes, so we're going to take a look at that now. The current image you can deploy from can be found here.įinally, once you've had a look around the VM Service UI and created the Content Library, the only thing left to do is create a namespace and assign it some VM Classes and Content Libraries for the K8s users to deploy from - as you can see, I've created a vSphere namespace called vm-operator and assigned it all the preset VM Classes and the pre-built VM Image Content Library.įrom here, we can now go have a look at the K8s user's experience of VM Service. Next up, Content Libraries are where the images that can be used by developers are stored - so when a developer deploys a VM via a VM Image, the images available to them are pulled from these content libraries - we'll take a closer look at that in a bit.Īs of this release of VM Service and VM Operator API v1alpha1 we are only supporting a subset of images that we have built to work with VM Service, this will be changing to be more open in the near future. If we take a look at the VM Classes tab it'll give you a better feel for what these actually are - essentially at this point they are CPU and Memory presets as well as resource reservations that developers will be able to create VMs from - there are a whole bunch of presets available out of the box to get you started and should cover most use-cases, however, if you want to create your own you can do that too. Inside the VM Service, you'll find where you can manage the components, namely the VM Images (Content Libraries) and VM Classes (t-shirt sizes). The vSphere side of the VM Service is very straight forward, it is created as part of your vSphere with Tanzu namespaces once you enable the service in the new Workload Management "Services" tab:įor more details on setting up VM Service - check out the documentation here. So, let's have a look at each of these components in detail and see what makes it all tick! VM Service in vSphere The vSphere side is built right into vCenter, it allows you to manage VM Images (Content Libraries) and VM Classes (VM sizing), the Kubernetes side is called VM Operator which creates and services the Kubernetes Custom Resources (CRs/CRDs), which we'll get into later, and tells K8s how to talk to vSphere.Īdditionally, we are happy to announce that we are releasing the VM Operator as a completely open-source component on GitHub, and you can find that here. VM Service is made up of two components, a vSphere side component and a Kubernetes side component. VM Service allows Kubernetes users to provision VMs and their guest OSes declaratively, that is to say in a desired-state manner, just like anything else that is managed by Kubernetes. This is our first release of VM Service and the VM Operator (v1alpha1) so we would very much appreciate your feedback in helping to shape the future of this feature! VM Service has a whole bunch of goodies inside from declarative Kubernetes CRD based VM provisioning, automatic load balancing across multiple VMs, industry standard cloud-init based guest OS customisation for dev users all the way to administrative controls for VM Images and VM Classes (think t-shirt sizing) for the vSphere administrator. I am happy to introduce the VM Service and VM Operator, these two components work in unison on vSphere with Tanzu to offer Kubernetes users a VM provisioning workflow, never before seen on vSphere. With vSphere 7.0 U2a we will be changing that. However, the way in which VMs have historically been provisioned is somewhat the antithesis of what desired state and Kubernetes stands for, which makes those parts of a solution much less attractive overall than converting everything to containers. VMware as a company has always done something very well, Virtual Machines - and we believe, as well as the wider community that modern applications will not exist in isolation as Kubernetes-only apps, rather they will be made up of a mixture of containers, functions, VMs and as-a-service offerings.

One of the most prominent features of TunnelBear is that it offers AES-256 bit encryption for data protection and SHA256 encryption for data authentication. Furthermore, the app doesn’t go around the map, which means once you hit one end, you have to scroll back in the opposite direction. It lets users easily select a country from the world map but doesn’t provide any option to zoom in or out. As most map interfaces go, this one isn’t practical either. TunnelBear has a map-based interface that lets you easily select a server from where you wish to connect. What can users expect from the interface? The only drawback of TunnelBear is that its head office is based in Canada, which is one of the Five Eyes countries. For those users, TunnelBear does have a detailed and straightforward privacy policy, along with customer support for any additional queries. While that’s great for users who aren’t tech-savvy, this simplification may not entice users who prefer to know the intricacies of the VPN they’re using. TunnelBear asks users to log in, select a country, and turn on the VPN switch. Once you download the application, you will notice that there’s an absolute lack of technological jargon. One of the best parts about downloading TunnelBear is that it’s dedicated to providing users with a simple and easy way to use a VPN. While TunnerlBear doesn’t have as many servers as other similar VPN providers, it still provides high-speed internet connectivity, along with other additional features. With its help, you can hide your IP address, download torrents, block trackers, and bypass local restrictions. A fast, user-friendly, and reliable VPN service for Windowsįounded in 2011, TunnelBear is a free VPN service provider available in 41 countries around the world. A few TunnelBear alternatives like UltraSurf, Free VPN, TouchVPN, and Betternet Free VPN, also offer similar features. It also offers military-grade AES 256-bit encryption that keeps you and your browsing activity completely secure. Once downloaded, TunnelBear provides high speed with no buffering or lags. In case you opt for the free plan, you get 500 MB of secure browsing. It’s available in over 41 countries and offers two premium plans for users with high internet usage. The free application provides users with a range of services, including the option to bypass region-specific restrictions, hide their IP address, block trackers, protect online privacy, and more. If you do insert an OS card and then power up, at the very least you should see the Boss2 OLED screen come to life after it is plugged to power and bootup (about 30 seconds or so). Perhaps you would see lights on the back or peering closely through the IR hole but nothing will show on the OLED and the remote won't work. If you do not insert one of the pre-loaded MicroSD cards then nothing will happen when powered up I expect. If you order the Boss2 with an operating system pre-installed on a MicroSD card, then they are plug and play. We work as a team and we are proud of our work. We are a canadian company that has a R&D center in Bangalore India and a smaller one in EU. I will not comment on "how it will sound" but from what I remember we got slightly better THD+NĪbout our company. Again, this is why we have a DC earth (Nirvana SMPS) but also an earth lug on both Nirvana and Boss2 (for direct connection )īoss2 has also multiple ways to power it, you can use one DC power (both Boss2 and RPI4) or use 2x PSU one for Boss2 and one for RPI4 (with the GND shared of course). What works on one system might not work the same, on a different location. Therefore all our power supply, DACs etc have a way (and some multiple) to earth using various C+R values. Some of you will argue that its not important, but in all my test data, I see a clear improvement with earth. With the correct earth, RF has a path to escape. With XLR outputs it becomes less important (but still relevant). For a long time, earthing was a big part of audio. The audio world has changed and Amir is one (main) of the driving forces. So, how long to wait?Īs usually, I would like to say ,thx you Amir, for your time and effort. I think the display stays on even when Volumio is shut down. Should it just be left on? I can add an Alexa controlled power plug.but then want to be sure I wait long enough after software shutdown to turn off the power. I do not want to reach to the back and pull the plug each time. I can power down to standby in the software, but I understand that restarting requires power to be physically shut off, then on again. What is the recommendation in terms of powering it on and off. I originally was drawn to Volumio but think Moode may be a bit quicker. I installed both Volumio and Moode, updating both to the latest versions via internet instructions and Allo downloads. The Boss2 has been great fun! I have not needed advice here because so much of it is available around the web. There are certainly things far more important than getting me my toy on time, which you did.please keep everyone safe. It appears the Allo team has made heroic efforts to keep things going despite it all. I was frankly surprised how quickly it got here, in perfect as ordered configuration considering the horrible Covid bump that hit India almost simultaneously with Amir's review. Because of that, I expected a delay but in fact it arrived only a couple of days after the original estimate ship time.and Allo sent out an Email just prior explaining the slight delay. I ordered my Boss2 just after Amir's review was posted. Translations wise - as long as you give me credit/blame, go for it. And if you need further help, the discussion page for this game is full of mostly friendly, helpful people. So, hopefully this helps other enjoy this wonderful game just as much as I have and if not, that's fine. Because I at present I never get enough sleep due to nortriptyline side effects giving me night sweats. But any constructive criticism, highlights of mistakes of the factual or grammar kind etc is highly welcome. In theory I should be able to get it all across relatively well (depression has it's "perks", definitely not worth the cost though), and I hope I manage to do that. stuff like how to use dams, what to plant, the dark horrors of logistics, surviving crises, dam worshipping 101, wellbeing and why you should maximise it etc etc. And keep me from playing Timberborn too much, because dear elder gods is this addictive, more so that factorio. But I am working out how to make a video to show those bits and will post a link here when it's done.Īnyhow - the aim of this guide is help the perplexed deal with Timberborn's game systems, it's quirks, occasional weirdness (water) and point out what fun you can have with the game and how to avoid killing all your adorable beavers. Simply because describing those would take a lot of work and is also kind of boring for me to explain :P Fortunately youtube exists for those who need to learn the very basics. And then then there's the mountain range of editing /coughįirstly though, this guide assumes you know how to access the build menus, place stuff to be built, make planting/logging zones etc. Which given it's in early access, is going to be for quite some time. And as this is currently a work in progress it'll be updated roughly every week content wise until it goes over most, if not all of the game's features. That can be quite frustrating, but give it time, and it will happen.Hello and welcome to the first ever guide I've published, if not the biggest written work I've done for years. Let Them Do Their ThingĪs the chances of the beavers mating is random, sometimes you just get unlucky. You can check the status of that in the “well-being” tab. The main aim is to satisfy their social life. Try to increase the well-being of the population by building a rooftop terrace or a campfire near their home. Keep Them HappyĪ happy beaver is a fertile beaver. This seems like the sweet spot for beaver baby-making (and it makes sense). It’s also best to have 2 beavers per home, with extra space. Make sure there are enough homes by building new lodges. Give Them a Homeīeavers need homes too, and if you don’t have any spare then the population can’t increase. To improve their happiness without hindering production too much, it’s advised to reduce it by 1 or 2 hours at most. You can reduce a beavers worktime by however many hours you wish. However, this faction isn’t unlocked straight away so if you’re new to the game you can’t play it anyway, Give Them a BreakĮveryone needs a break sometimes, and beavers are no different. The Ironteeth faction is a little different and mainly relies on breeding pods. Here are some tips to make it happen for the Folktail faction. However, there are a few ways to increase the chances of beavers mating. How often the beavers breed is very random in Timberborn. Beavers are the main focus of Timberborn, and the more of them you can get, the better off your city will be. To find out more, read our guide to commercial invoices. Commercial invoices are used to calculate the financial value of goods being traded and any applicable taxes that may apply to the shipment. Commercial invoiceĪ commercial invoice is used in international shipments to declare to the customer and customs officials what is being shipped, who is selling and buying, the date and sale terms, the quantity and weight of goods, and other details. As well as a payment request, it’s also a tax document and, if it includes VAT, it may be called a tax invoice. To better understand where a proforma fits into the sales process, here are what other common invoice types are used for: Sales invoiceĪ sales invoice is a formal request for payment that’s sent at the same time as, or shortly after, goods or services are supplied. How does a proforma differ from other types of invoices? Once the customer agrees to everything, then you deliver the goods and issue a formal invoice. The key point to remember is that a proforma is usually sent to a customer or client when they’ve committed to purchasing from you, but can’t be sent an official invoice because the final details still need to be confirmed. This is because customers aren’t required to pay the amount listed on the proforma, the total amount due isn’t recorded under the customer’s accounts payable or your accounts receivable, and you can’t use a proforma to reclaim VAT. In many ways, a proforma is closer to a quote or estimate than an invoice. Is a proforma invoice legally binding?Īlthough a proforma includes much, if not all, of the same information that appears on a final sales invoice, it doesn’t carry the same legal weight and shouldn’t be used for accounting purposes, or as a binding agreement. It is essentially a "good faith" agreement between you (the seller) and a customer so the buyer knows what to expect ahead of time.įor example, if payment is required in advance to ensure financing is secured before you manufacture goods or supply a service, a proforma can be used to propose the details of the upcoming transaction. A proforma invoice includes a description of the goods, the total payable amount and other details about the transaction. Would you have put all your money on it? More to the point, if a customer asks for a proforma, do you know what it should and shouldn’t be used for and exactly how to send one? What is a proforma invoice?Ī proforma invoice is a preliminary bill or estimated invoice which is used to request payment from the committed buyer for goods or services before they are supplied. The correct answer is "proforma invoice". "Which of the following cannot be used for accounting purposes?" Imagine facing this question on a game show: Mac users with disk drives can still burn to CD, too, but for most of us the ability to export into MP3, AIFF, WAV, or AAC will be more than enough, with multiple quality presets. You can share directly to SoundCloud, too, as well as AirDrop your creations to your other devices or even to a friend to continue working on. While it’s not quite as easy to navigate without a mouse, keyboard shortcuts on iPad help things, and both platforms have the advantage of more tactile input – including “Remix sessions” that let users tweak songs like Lady Gaga’s Free Woman. We used a combination of a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 connected via a Thunderbolt dock, a Blue Yeti X mic, and even the laptop’s own microphone array.Īll hardware is configured when you first load a project, and if you come back to something after you’ve unplugged, say, your output speakers, GarageBand will default to the built-in options.Īs you’d imagine, Apple has put plenty of emphasis on building GarageBand into its hardware ecosystem, and that means you can pick up your GarageBand on iOS or iPadOS, too. You can rack up 256 tracks within a single project, and depending on your setup you may need additional hardware to record your own instruments. It’s clean, with a lengthy workspace and plenty of tools buried within. If you’ve not used GarageBand for a while you’ll be pleased to know those bizarre “wood-paneled” instrument icons are really the only holdover from Apple’s skeuomorphic fascination, and at first glance, GarageBand looks, well, a lot like any other DAW (digital audio workstation). You’re also likely to be able to do more recording and editing while away from a wall plug, thanks to the M1 chip’s improved power efficiency. While there are no specific Apple Silicon features (we’ve also tested it on an Intel-based 16-inch MacBook from 2019), it’s worth mentioning that it does feel smoother and export times are likely to be shorter on newer hardware. “ So, after discussing with the agency, we will arrest the suspect under organised crime,” Ayob Khan explained. They also discovered that previously, other parties had been informed of the situation, but no action was taken. They soon found that one of the syndicate’s transactions went into Liow’s account and that allowed the case to develop further. The police opened two investigation papers and investigated the matter thoroughly. Liow’s operations were discovered after a few victims of the syndicate reported it. Additionally, he revealed that Liow would offer beautiful women and luxury cars alongside the cash which would be either given in a lump sum or monthly. He also paid RM300 to RM5000 per month for each person,” Ayob Khan said. “ At present, we have information that he once used a bribe of RM50,000 to buy off someone. Liow is believed to control RM1 billion in assets while his personal bank account has RM4 million in cash. Although the authorities managed to detect it, Liow would use his connections with various law enforcement and government agencies to avoid being investigated. Johor police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay explained that Liow has been carrying out his activities since 2014. The police are currently collecting solid evidence to prosecute him. The 33-year-old businessman’s illegal activities have been steadily exposed over the past few days. Where in the world is Dato Sri Nicky Liow Soon Hee? The police suspect he has yet to leave the country and are confident they will be arresting him soon. Then glue and pin the divider into the drawer. Sand the nib off the bottom and finish how you like. Take a hacksaw and cut the part off with very short strokes while the lath is running to make a clean straight cut.
